PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY.
The Federal Assembly, at a meeting < here, has adopted a petition to the Queen, praying that steps be taken to terminate the French occupation of the New Hebrides. The Assembly has resolved to signalise the centenary of Australia by great evangelical work, and to endeavor to induce other curches to join m the same. (Received September 2ist, 12.50, p.m.)
