Feilding, September 20. A. chop and dwelling house, owned and occupied by Anderson, ah. emakor, Hal oomb&, was burned at midnight by the bursting of a kerosene lamp. Nothing wa? saved. Drowned. Masterton, September 20. A boy two and a half years old named Alex. McLaod was acoidently drowned m a creek at Home Bush yesterday. Arrested. Wellington, September 20 Alfred Horafall and Alfred Robin Olertas, m the Gear Menfc Company's employ, have been arrestod on charges of alteged embezzlement, the former of £8 19a and £15 6j, the lat ar of 123 65 and 4i 9i. They were brought before the Court and remanded. B.il was alloffbd. Fire. Eunedin, September 20 By a fire at Momiugton the dwelling of Hugh McKerrosr was bnrned down. Insurance m the Standard, £150.
