Consols have declined by yk to ioi^j. New Zealand inscribed stock remains at 99 %. The market rate of discount i had advanced to 3^3 and is now }£ > below the bank rate. At the wool auctions to-day 13,100 bales were submitted. The tone of the market continues steady but inactive.
