A COMPLICATED CASE
Auckland, September 2. The complications which have arisen m respect to the license for an hotel at Went Tamakl came before the Licensing Court at Panmure yesterday. Mr Cooper who appeared for the obj actors, opposed the granting of the license on the ground that the town of Panmure was not within any licensing district, and the Committee were aoting without jurisdiction ; that ootlces of application were given Id the d'atrlot called Panmure and Weat T»r»---•kl licensing district, and there was no suoh district ; that no local option poll had been taken mfc West Tamaki difttriot, m whloh the house was situated, m 1582 or 1885. Mr Oetter, for the applicant, recognised the weighty nature of Mr Cooper's objections, and as they affeottd not only the present application, bat all houses m Panmure, he applied for an adjournmeut, whioh was granted,
