Mr E. G. Staveley (for New Z aland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on the life stock market at Aafrburton on 6-h iuat :— There were moderate entries of stock, Including aboat 4000 sheep, and a good attendance. The Bale was quiet through* oat, values being rather weaker, though most of the sheep penned were yount orcisbreifl. Medium fat crossbred ewes made 6i Gi ; fat mixed crosibreds, 8i 9i to 10s lOd ; forward 2 tooth halfbred wethera, , 10s to 10a 3d ; mixed 2 tooth crossbred* 7« 2d to 6s ; oroaabred hoggets, 5 3 6d, 6.. 2d, and 7s ; mixed crossbred*, m low condition, 4s 61 Several lines of sheep were withdrawn.
