We are deßlred to call the speoial attention of the residents at Pendarves to the faot that Mr Buxton will address the eleotors there on Thursday evening, Sept. Ist, instead of on the following Tuesday as previously announced m error. Our readers' attention is direoted to an advertisement referring to a Coffee Supper to be held to-morrow evening at the Temperance Olub. We have been requested to state that this entertainment, as well as the olub itself, is quite undenominational, and that the founders intend to-morrow night to nominate a Committee of members for the future working of the institution. An election for a Borough Councillor has been proceeding to-day. The gentlemen nominated aro Messrs A. Roberts and G. F. Soott. Bather more than the ordinary amount of interest is manifested m the election and totes seemed to drop m pretty thickly. During the afternoon a ooaoh and four placarded as the Committee room of one of the candidates was driven about town and caused a little mild excitement, a couple of home m tha hands of stout-lunnged members of the Committee making a great din. The result of the oleotion will be declared about a quarter to seven this morning. The weekly session ef the Dawn of Peace Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held last evening m founders' .
