Pharftzyn aaid. he had just returned from London, and ooald say there was a prospect of Improved pricen, &b people were getting over thoir prt j idices against frczen mutton. The New Zea'and mutton was gaining m favor, and was superior to the Argentine meat. One ciuee of the low prioeß was that recently a great deal of wheat land m England had been laid down In grass, owing to the low p ices of wheat, and cattle were being raised instead of wheat. The price of wh< at had reached its lowest, and when it went up ag«ln there would be less Lbs land put down m pasture, and that would help the colony. He believed that there was » obanoe of opening up a profitable trade with Antwerp, »s the meat on the Oontioent was generally very inferior.
