RECOGNITION OF GOOD SERVICE.
In the House of Commons on July Bth, Lord Lamington aeked Her Ma j sty's Government whether it was intended m any way to recognise the excellence of the police arrangements and the admirable conduct of the Metropollan Pol'ce during the Jubilee celebration. Earl Brownlow ■aid he wished emphatically to endorse the •tatement of the noble lord as to tho admirable conduct of the polioe on her Majeity'a Jubilee day. (Hfirhear.) fle had to Inform their lorJahipi that the wrrioeß of the Metropolitan Polioe would be duly recognised and rewarded by the grant of Vhree day'a extra leave with full pay to each member of the force. In Addition etoh number of the force actually employed In keeping order m the •treeta on Jubilee day would reooive an txtra day's pay and a bronze medal. (Hear, hear.)
