STRANGE CASE OF SUICIDE.

A very singular caee of suicide has occurred at Fitzroy eoburb, l^elbourne. Augustus Sollom, a young chemi&t la the employ of Ford and Cj., Swaoton street, took » dose of prosaic acid at his boardinghouse, and left the following lettar for his employers. The Oharles Wilson referred to was a fellow boarder, and had slept m the same bed with the deceased for the last two monthr. There was no evidence, however, that any agreement had been come to between the two to commit suicide, else Wilson would bare been liable to a oharge of r order. Additional interest was attaohed to the oaie because iiveral years ago a somewhat similar case happened. Two men named Maiks and Feeney had agreed to destroy eaoh other. They presented pUtols each at the other's head m the Treasury Gardens. Faeney was shot dead, hut, either through aooldent or design, the pistol m the hand of Faeney did not explode. The oase created a great seosatiou, and Marks was banged for the murder of Feeney,
