London, August 22. 1 In the House of Commons to-day, ] Mr Laboucbere asked the Secretary of ] State for the Colonies what action the ] Government have taken relative to the ' Frencb colonists who have been sent to ] the New Hebrides since the occupation , of that group by the French troops. In ] reply. Sir J. Fergusson said that nothing 1 had been done to prevent the subjects y of either England or France settling m ( the New Hebrides.
