Ho t ion went to the pl&la behind th' Infantry Hnaa and shot fivo oirtmeu. When he found ou' that tho riglrnont had turned i ul, he took refuge iv a stone enclosure, whence he fired many rounds. The colonel called for volunteers to rush iv upon lrm, and two nepoya rerponded When they got within six yards of him he ahot himself through tho heart. The e'oven men whom he had ahot were killed ou the Bp >t, or died In a few hours.
