AUCTIONEER'S REPORT

Mr Peter Williams .(for Friedlander Bros.) reports for the week ending Tuesday, 16th August, 1887 :— On Friday, 12th inst., we held onr fortnightly sale of Bbeep skins at our East Street Eovao Bazaar. About 150 skins were brought forward, and the following pricog were obtained :— Best crossbreds, 3s 8d to 4s 2d ; medium, 03 to 3a Cd ; pood merinos, 3s to 3s 3d ; medium, Is lOd to 2s Bd. On Saturday, 13th inst , we Bold as follows : — Produce — potatoes, 38a per ton ; mutton, 2d per Ib ; carcase pork, 3d per lb ; tea, 12b 6d per box ; sugar, 3d per lb ; beef, 2£d per lb. Implements . — Set 6-loaf harrows, £6 ; saddle, £3. Furniture and sundries at fnir rates. At the Tinwald yards on Tuesday, 16th inst. , the entry was very small, only about 800 sheep and 30 head of cattle came forward . There waß a fair attendance of farmers and dealers, and prices ruled a shade botter than last weok. Some very good fat crossbred wethers fetched from 10a to 12a 9d ; ditto ewe*, 9s 9d to 10s 3d ; hoggets made 6a 7d to 6a 10d ; 2 and 4-tooth half-bred ewes m lamb, 9s 2d ; fat cows, £4 Ids, £52t9 6d, £6 ; fat steerß, £4 2s Cd to £4 15s ; 18-ironths-old steers and hoifers, 28s, 295, to 35s ; two-year-old teers, £2.
