If Sir Julius dies to-morrow he leaves behind him many a lasting monument viz — His Public Works Policy The East and West G>«st Railway The Fisheries Bill Loans to Local Bodies. The Encouragement and Preservation of Forcßts. And many other far-seeing ideas which I can't now enumerate. My only wish is that we shall boo a strong Protective House meet m a few weeks m Wellington which will Bhow the country that the Government were quit? right m appealing to the country on thjtfr Protective Policy. — I am, etc
