The GairJoch and Staffs left m search yesterday morning', but have not yet retarned. The Oreti had orders to look out for the M. c^regor and render asaistanoe.

A steamer under sail is lylng-to rff Hokiangv heads 20 miles out to sea. She Is believed to be the Macgregor. Shims been visible from 8 till 10 this morning.
