MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.

The'first formal meeting ot the Royal Commission for the Melbourne Centennial Exhibition took place to-day, the Prince of Wales presiding. His Royal Highness made a speech, m which he stated that although his position on the Commission was only honorary, he would afford the Exhibition all the assistance m his power.
