THE NAVAL MANŒUVRES.
London, August 4. The naval squadron, under the command of Admiral Freemantle, which, after capturing Falmoutb, sailed m the direction of Dover, succeeded m eluding the defending squadron, under Admiral Hewett, and captured the entrances of the Thames and the Medway. The engagement took place yesterday evening between the two squadrons in.tthe Downs, during which Nordsnfelt guns on board the Curlew and the Black Prince burst, and a number of seamen were injured.
