It waß stated m tbe Victorian Assembly tha other day that m the neighborhood of Melbourne quite recently three children, the eldest of whom was under thirteen years of age, were oharged with larceny, which consisted of stealing some toys to celebrate the birthday of the youngest of the three, and were sentenced to three months' imprisonment, part of which was to be m separate confinement.
