QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT.

Brisbane. July 20. Parliament was opened yesterday by the Governor, whose speech referred to the beneficial effects of the Imperial Conference. The introduction of several measures was promised, including a Redistribution of. Seats, Local Government, Water Supply, and Copyright Bills. A Bill will also be introduced for the establishment of a Queensland Uniyersity. Mr Morehead has been appointed leader of the Opposition. The debate on the Address-in-Reply to the speech stands adjourned.
