CRICKET— GENTLEMEN v PLAYERS.
The annual match between the 1 Gentlemen and the Players proved 1 disastrous to the former. The Players scored 395 m their ooly innings, 5 Shrewsbury making 101. The Gentle--1 men only reached 102 m their first innings, and following on obtained t 171, being thus defeated by one innings l and 132 runs.
