Ho runt on the Liberal ticket. The other can* didatea are H. Dodson and G. Henderson. Dukedin, July 16. Mr Ritherford has been ohosen as a labor candidate for Oaversbam. (Fbom our Exchanges.) Mr Longhrey (of the firm of Holmes and Loughrey), In response to a requWiilon signed by 166 electors, has consented to contest Chrlstchurch Soath. Mr Alfred Saunderß, one of the candl* dates' for Lincoln, has received a vote of confidence at West Melton, and a pledge to support him m the coming struggle was carried almost unanimously. Mr George Joblin, of Little River, is expected to be a candidate for Akaroa. Mr T. Thompson has received a vota of confidence m Auckland Oity Norih. . Mr J. 0. Buckland addressed the Wainemo electors on Monday night, and reeelved * vote of thanks and confidence.
