The old electorate ha 3 been considerably reduoed m area by outtiug off all the RangiUta watershed. and Inoluding It - all nnder the electorate of that name j also the pnuion of the Uevels riding between' Pareora and Saltwa^r Greek, near Timara ar>d back behind OWemont has been oat off and added to Waimate, increasing tha . area taken frim the old'Geraldine electorate between the Opihi rlverand the Has* hae-te-Moana. The boundarieirof thenaw electorate are beginning at the mbGTth^of the Opihi rivet, and up the river to Tau\ matakahu creek, thence by that Creek and \ the eastern and northern boundaries of Arowhenoa to the railway, thence northerly by the railway line to the boundary of Temuka riding, thenoe westerly along that boundary to the intersection with the Haohaete-Moana, thenoa northerly by that river to iti soaree, thenoe northerly along the watershed between Opihi and Raugitata rivers to ne.tr the source of Forest creek, tbenoe by the Two Thatnb range and boundary of Tckapo riding to Mount Peterraann, thence south-westerly along the main I range ti Mount Cook and on. to the Bonrce of the Hopkins river, thence south by that river, the Ohau lake the Ohaa and Waitaki rivers to the boundary of Hakateramea riding, thenoe north east along that) boundary to the boundary of the Fairlie riding, thence easterly around the sooth boundary of that tiding to a point nearly due west of Wash dyke, thence eatterly by road lines to junction of Washdyke Flat road with Main' South road, thence by Main South road and Washdy ke creek to the nea, thenoe t northerly along the coißt line to the mouth of Opihi river, the starting .point. The principal placeo la the electorate are Temuka, Arowhenna, the settlements along the Alhury railway line, Burkes Pabfl, and McKeozie Country.
