AUSTRALIAN REVENUES.
[UEDTKR's lELEGRAMS -OOPPBJGHT.] (Received July lot, 1.45 p.m.) Mbljjoukne, July 1. The revenue of the colony for the year ending 30th June, amounted to £6>734>000, being £200,000 above the Estimates, and an increase "of £317,000 as compared with ihe previous year. The increase shown m Customs is £128,000 ; territorial revenue, £24,000 jrailways, ,£147,000; stamps, £20,000. There was a decrease m excise revenue of £25,000. The total revenue of the past quarter was £52,000 more than that of the corresponding quarter of 1885-86. Adblaidb, July 1 Revenue for the year, which closed yesterday, amounted to £1,868,000, being .£375,000 below the Treasurer's Estimate m November last, and £411,000 below the total receipts of the previous year. The revenue from Customs decreased by £12,000; from land and income tax by ,£86,000; the territorial revenue by £59,000; The railway receipts increased by ,£24,000. The total revenue for "the June quarter shows a slight increase as compared with the corresponding period of last year.
