CANTERBURY CLUB'S MEETING.

The third meeting of the Canterbury Coursing Club was held yesterday ?at> lagmhor. The weather was (jfite aad; ; tbe attendance large, though tht_ ground was covered .with '; snow. . ..ysSlr D. Hares ; were very strong and the trials were good. The mombera of the Club pa-sod a hearty vote of thanks to Mc Boh for his honorary services as Judge. The following is a brief sketch of the running : —

Jubilee Stakes—Cora Lynn was faster than Bonnie Jean throughout a good oourse. Queen led Highland Laddie to the hare' but the Laddie outstayed ber and won. Hard tlmeß had the best of Market Girl m a fair trial, Ringer just beat Concrete to the hare but the former was by far the oleverer and Concrete only soored a kill off his opponent's turn. Seoond Round—Cora Lynn had the hare ti himself until he ran into a fence whloh bewildered him, and gave Highland Laddie a ohanoe but the Geraldino dog recovered and. won. Ringer beat Hard Times pointless, the latter only getting the lead through Ringer being unsighted I Final Course — Ringer was again unsighted when slipped and, Cora Lynn turned first, but afterwards Ringer only gave his opI ponent two brief openings m a long and severe trial .

Coronation Cup. — Trident led Highland Mary to the hare but was completely outworked by her afterwards, Pasha did not get sighted for a long time and then oould do nothing against Mornings.de. Final— Momlng-lde led Highland Mary by fonr lengths to a strong hare and exchanged points with her two or three times. He then soored nearly everything ln a, capital oourie until puss e3oapod.
