An explosion oeourred on the premises of Wrlgg and sons, gunsmiths, Bourke street weat, on Friday night, damaging the windows of many of the. adjacent buildings. Several parsons w^ro injured but hone seriously. The cause of the explosion is unknown. A petition Is being signed by thirty residents aud property holders m the vicinity, urging that a en3 airy be held into the cause of the isaster. , The annual Victorian review was held on Monday m the Albert Park, the occasion being transferred from tbe date of the Queen's Birthday to the Jubilee celebration. It proved, notwithstanding the bitter cold, and the wet state of the ground, the most Buooesaful field day devoted to parade movement ever held m V.ofOT.». The Governor, attended by his •tiff, arrived at 2,30, and inspected the forces drawn np m two lines. Returning to the delating point, he witnessed the fen daioie and the maroh past. Lady Lioh, L.rd and Lady Braasey, and other visitors were present, the Sydney Lancers and Naval Brigade being conspicuous. Adelaide, June 22 The opening ceremony of the Adelaide Exhibition was a very imposing spectacle. Some felicitous allusioni were made to Hor Majesty's Jubilee, whioh coinoided with that of the Oolony. A very handsome gold key, having the Royal Crown upon it Bet with brilliants, manufactured by Messrs Young and Co., of Melboarne, was then presented to the Governor by Sir Samuel Davenport, •with a request tbat His Excellency would declare the Exhibition open.
