THE QUEEN THANKS HER PEOPLE.

London, June 25. In a letter addressed to the Home Secretary, the Queen thanks her people for her kind reception while going to and returning from Westminster Abbey on Tuesday last, and expresses herself as deeply touched by the enthusiasm manifested during her stay m London, Her Majesty alludes to the unclouded happiness of twenty-two years spent with the late Prince Consort, and adds that the esteem of her people and her sense of duty towards the country will encourage her m a task often very difficult and arduous during the remainder of her life. The letter conclude? by saying -that the order and behaviour of the people last Tuesday merit the highest admiration.
