IMPORTANT TO ELECTORS.

We call the attention of electors to the following, which appears m to-day's 11 Lyltelton Times " :— lt will be well for those who are qualified as electors, but who are not registered, to lose no time m applying for registration. Fifteen days, let them remember, must elapse after application before a name can be registered. Now the electoral rolls m force "on the day" of the proclamation of the new districts are to be used for the formation of the new rolls. It appears, therefore, that no applications made within fifteen days of the proclamation can be given effect to. After the proclamation applications for registration must be made ia the new districts. The

day of proclamation cannot be far off now. The Representation Bill received the Governor's assent on June 6. The work of the Commissioners must, therefore, be completed before July 6, or Thursday week, and the proclamation of their report must follow quickly. It will be well for those making application for registration before the proclation to take a note of the date of their application, so that they can see, after the proclamation, whether they will have to apply again m the new districts, or to examine the old roll to know if they will be transferred to the new.
