AtOKiAttD, June 23. On Jubilee night a robbery was perpetrated on the promises of Mr Levlnasoh'n, tobacconist, Queen street wharf, £38 being stolen. No olne has yet been obtained to the identUy of the offender, and fifteen lfshes for a criminal a?sault on a little girl. New Plymouth, June 24. A youth named James Reilly was sentenced st the District Oourt to six months' Imprisonment. Wellington, June 23. At the Lani Board the return of the Commissioner of Orown I ands showed that < m the dlstriot, oat of 389 selectors, only 25 were m arrears. A man named Thomas Thompson, arrested for larceny at the Hutt, has been wanted for the last four years for various offences, alleged to have been committed at Haloombe, Danevirke, and Auckland. Grbymouth, June 23. Today the firefc rain fur a mouth has fallen. The weather of late has been moat exceptlo nal for winter. There' are mining claims m the district which have not had a washing since la it Christmas, and generally there has been great scarcity of water for mining purposes.
