ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET

There was only a moderate attendance of buyers at Addlngton Yards on Wednesday, and competition, with one or two exceptions, was not very spirited - Caitle.— Only a small supply 0 f fat cattle oame to hand, and tho quality all' round WA3 somewhat inferior Pricea ranged from £6. 15s to £7 63,' aad a ooupla of very fine steers fetched £8 7a 61. Storeß were very poorly represented, and only a few lines changed hands at nominil prices. Prices per 1001b3 ranged from 17s 61 for prime beef down to about 14} for inferior.

Shbef. — There was a good market of fat sheep, but prices were rather lowej than ?ait quotations. Superior sorts fetched from 10 1 to 16 j 6d, a very superior line from Lowollffe finding a purchaser at the latter price ; medium walght, from. 7s to 8s 6d ; ewes, of mixed ages, from 5a 6d to 7a 61; inferior sorts, 4) 91, Grass being now plentiful owners of sbeep are not anxious to sell, acd ii their reserves arc- not reached the sheep are sent home again The best croisbred mutton was worth 2d per lb. There was a small entry of stores, mostly of fair quality, and very satisfactory prloes were realised m most instances. Ihe sale comprised 2- tooth crossbred wethers at .7a ; crossbred hoggets at 5s ; mixed 4-tooths, at 6} 51 : do, at 7a 41 ; 2 and 4tooth wethers at 6a; SCO 2-tooth crossbred wethers, from R&ynham, at 63 9d,

Pigs. — There waa a fair entry of pigs. The quality waß very fair all round, and there were several very good lines, but competition was not nearly so spirited as last week,, and prlo:s were considerably lower m most cases, although some very fair lines fetched up to 465. Prime grainfed baoon pigs broogh^3d to 3£l per lb ; porkers sold fairly w.l at 15s to 23 1.
