(fbom our own reporter,) The postponed steeplechase meeting of the Geraldine Racing Clab came off yesterday on the Orari course. About 400 persons were present, but there wbb very little specnlation. Lunn'e Ringask, list 131 b ... 2 Mr Allan's Daisy 9st 61b 3 Kahikatea. also ran. Secretary was. scratched. Bordcrman won hard held by four lengths. Dividend— £2 4s. Gas# Foewabd Hakdicap, of 70 soys. 3 miles. Messrs M. and 0. Hobbs' Moody, 12et 31b « w 1 Mr J, Higgina' Secretary, list 71b ... 2 Mrß. Butherford's Faugh-a-Ballagh, 12tt 71b ... 3 Irish King also ran. Linwood was scratched. Moody won by about four lengths after a good race with Secretary. Dividend— -£3 6s. Maiden Steeplechase, of 35 soys ; 2 mileß. Weight for age. Mr F. T. Bradley's Defiance, syrs ... 1 Mr P. Jones' Hector, aged ».• ... 2 Mr J. Eigginß* Johnny, aged .„ ... 3 Wrangler and Terry were scratched. Defiance passed the judge two lengths m fiont of Hector. Johnny was favorite, but lost all chance by baulking. Dividend— £2 Bs.
