Olooka were utoppod, biiildInga wore cracked, koraea c*ino to a standstill m tho street, and fajmily and friendly gtoupß formed moro rapidly tb&D were ever known In El Pa3o. . At Albuquerqae a plaj;e glaea window of the First National Bank building was cracked. Men and women rushed into the Btroets and horeea were frightened. Men unhitched their teams and hurriedly led ijhnm away, looking upward at the buildings as if they expected they were about to topple upon them, Many persona complained of a feeling akin to seasickness/ la the old town the people were terror-stricken and many of the natives feared a new eruption from an extinct crater near there.
