TINWALD SCHOOL.

On Friday afternoon, a large number 0! prizes were awarded to the children attending the Tlnwald School. Mr John Otyglll, Chairman of the Sohooi Committee, and the Rev A. Blake, addressed the children upon the advantages of a good education and encouraged them to be diligent m their studies and regular m attendance. The prizes were then distributed by the Chairman as follows:— For passlog at last examination. Standard Vl— Mary Lowlb, Rees Williams. V— Annie Meharry, James Smith. IV- John Lewis, Willie Jeff, Willie Smith, Jobn Morlarty, Samuel Oorrlgan. in~WillleMebarry, Barry Jeff, Jpien Woods, Blanche Lewis, Charles Clark, Willie Ennis, Fred Schneider. H— Harry Fowler, Lilly Stuart, Susannah Hlokman, L°ojsa Martin. I— John O'Brien, Willie Robinson, Mary Skewer, Alice Hopewjod, Scsan Menany, Georslna Clarke, Edmund Jeff, Alfred Clarke, Jamei Ennis, Fanny Bell. Prizes for good attendance were awarded to Annie Lewi', Daniel Cairroroes, John Lewis, Fred Olatk, May Clarke, Willie Smith, Charles Clark, Blanche Lewis, Willie Clark, Ellen Woods, Sarah Cairn. crow. Mr Blake's speoial prize for good behaViour was awarded to Annie Lewis. "The^tfaster's speoial prfza for spelling and arithmetic to Willie Meharry. The Mistress gave a special prize for spelling to Mary Shearer, and for writing to Ernest Olwke. Air those below Stapdatd I, who had attended at all well received a reward. Cheers were given for the Chairman, the teachers, and the visitors, after which the children were dismissed nntil the 4th July.
