Wellington, June 17 • Mr John Sherran, commission agent, died (suddenly last night, it Is supposed from heart (Unease. He was retiring to bod when he fell dead. Duhbdin, June 17. • At a meeting of the Committee of the Maoandrow Memorial Fund It was deolded that £150 of the £650 m hand should ba devoted to erecting a tablet to Mr Macan* drew's memory, and the balance be devoted to a Scholarship m the Gtago University, m which political economy would be the bjat Bubfeot. The family of Mr Mnoandrew had intimated that ! none of them wished to have anything to do with the money collected and favored the Scholarship- scheme. Intelligence has been received here thai Mr W. H. M«rsh, who for the past few years baa been act lag Governor of Hongkong, has been knighted. Sir W. M, Marsh is at present In Danedln, where he intends residing la fafcuce.
