We are not aware whether it is a rule of the Board to renew bridges giving access to private property, and bo have not yet had them repaired. The part of the road between the (Windernicre and McLennan's road is exceedingly rough, and requires a small expenditure to make it more fit for traffic. The ford over the creek on this road has been completed, Wa notice that Mr Stoddart baß directed the oreek from Its proper channel Immediately it leaves the ford, and has taken it along the road and thonce down the old gorse fenoe. As we understand it is his intention to keop the old oreek open, this will help to relieve the fbod water.— (2) Horsey'a Road : The contractor has completed this work, but we cannot say it is satisfactory. As sonio misapprehension on 'the contractor's part exlstß as to the passing of the work, he intends interviewing the Board. — (3) Wheatstone Drain : The planking of the bridge over this drain on Graham's road Is m a defective atate, and requires replenishing.
