HORSE MARKET.
Mr T. Bollock reports for the week ending Saturday, Jun« 4th. Thirty-eight horses were offered for the day's sate, and although it was difficult to obtain bids, most of the medium draughts offered were sold at satisfactory prices as given below. There were a number of unbroken colts and fillies turned out unsold, purchasers only buying horßes suitable for immediate work. Out of the day's entry of 38, 17 were sold as follows, viz. :— Medium draughts of rather a light description, 3-year-olds, £15 10s, £19 10s ; 4-year old. £17; aged, 48 10a, £10, £11, £13, according to description; A pair of 4 and 5-year-olds brought £40 ; 3-year-old unbroken light, £10; hacks, £5 10s ; £7 10s ; inferior at low prices ; light harness horses, £3 10s, £4, £7 10s, and up to £9 15s for one of a fairly uood stamp.
