At the Police Court, Henry Wilson, with several aliases, got three months for stealing an egg stand from an -hotel. The accused stands committed for trial on two charges of forgery, and there are further ohargea against him m Dunedin and Christchurch. A number of influential electors m Otauhau (Wallace district) are getting up a petition to the Premior, asking that those m charge of the now Representation Bill Bhould not include thac part of the county m the electoral district, but, m lieu of being represented m Parliament, to have the amount o£ the honorarium and expenses of one member, Bay £500 (Mr Lainach'a figures) handed over to the local authorities, to be spent on neceeaarj works.
