HOW TO RETURN FAT TO SKIMMED MILK.
Professor Stewart, an agricultural authority m the United States, has given his advice as to the best mtans of returning to skimmed or aeparated milk the fat taken out of It, so ai to make It a suitable food for calves up to the age of sixty days; His plan is to add to the milk Unseed jelly, made by boiling linseed m six times its bulk of water. Ordinary skim milk, he adds contains about 0 7 par cent of fat, and, m order to add about 2 per oent of additional fat, s£lbs of linseed to lOOlbs of milk should be osed m the way above indicated. To make the nearest approach to a perfect oalf food that the Professor can recommend, he would add to the linseed jelly fine pollard m the proportion of 2 1 be to the lOOlbs of milk, «ookiog it with the jelly for a few minutes.
