The following remarkable tv quoque discussion took place at a meotiog of tbe cemetery board at the Thames goldfield recently between Mr Dean (secretary of the body) and Mr M'Andrew (one of the members). The immediate cause of the rupture was a atajjemenj; allege*} to ha?a been made by the former ' that ' he woijid refuse to aot as secretary bo long ai Mr M'Andrew was on the committee. The ohalrman (Mr Brodia) did not think this had been stated. Mr M'Andrew: "It was stated at a former meeting." Mi Dean : " Now don't tell a He." Mi M'Andrew. "I said I would not do it free.! 1 Mr M'Andrew: "Well, Isn't that'whtt t said T Mr Dean ;"No j yon'realW' Mr M'Andrew : "Then I say yon art another," Mr Dean: "I say you ar« another." Mr M'Andrew : "If there (■ a liar m this room it la you," Mr Dean; "I cay you are a direct liar." Mr M'Andrew : " Then you are • —— lUr. I am not going to be ipoken to by you like this." Mr Dean: "I don't oare ; yon are a liar. I oay you are * . lUr." Both parties (says a local paper) ipokt with considerable warmth, and weia eventually called to order.
