Inscribed Stock ii 101 higher, viz., The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve of notes and bullion to be ,£14,600,000, or £20,000 less than last week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 47 per cent. Colonial breadstuff's and tallow are N unchanged. (Received May 21, at noon) EVACUATION OF EGYPT. Constantinople, May 20. It is announced that a convention has been concluded* between the Turkish and British Govevernments whereby the period within which the evacuation of Egyptian territory by the British forces will be completed is fixed at three years. It is further provided that m the event of internal trouble*, Egypt may be re-occupied by the British and Turkish troops, either con* jointly or separately as maybe previously agreed, it being understood that no other Power shall be allowed to interfere.
