BOYCOTTING A COUNTESS
4 The boycotting of the Countess of Kingston .on her Miohelston Estate, which has a rental of £60,000 odd, ia being vigorously pursued, owing to her resistance to the " Plan of Campaign." She has dependent upon her 143 people, including men and women, who are alike boyootted, and of whom no leas than 95 have to reside inside the walls of her demesne; Her agent, Mr Frued, has opened a shop for the boycotted to whom no one In Miohelston dare Bpeak or sell . The boycotting edicts are isaued by a vigilance committee. Lady Kingston's solloifcor has been denounced, with the result that for one year no o.ient m the locality has entered his office, and every attempt has been made to ruin his professional career. Some of the tradespeople wrote to Lady Kingston aud her housekeeper and maid, begging them not to enter their shops, or they would be ruined by being proclaimed m a boyoottlng notice which the Vigilance Committee m'ght issue.
