THE GOVERNMENT OF EGYPT.
Constantinople, May 12. Sir Drummond Wolff, the BritishCommissioner, has made certain proposals relating to the date of the British evacuation of Egypt, as well as other points m connection with the Government of that country and there is reason to believe the negotiations between the British and Turkish Governments are at a stage wh'cH promises a settlement of the Egyptian difficulty.
