A meeting of the Chamber of Commorce will take place on Monday next, when a resolu'lon will ba m vid as follows: — " That this Chamber strongly deprecates aa a Borious Injury to Commerce, the pending proposals of tho Colonial Treasurer to increase the Customs duließ, and the Chamber recognises tha existing obligation on commercial representative bodies of Incoased activity m guarding commoroial Interests." At an icfluentlal meeting of mar chants held to-day, it was reeolvad that a deputation wait on the Colonial.
