Bullock reports for -the week ending Saturday, May 7th ;— Forty.fouf horses were entered for the day's sale, but a very large proportion were of rather an inferior Btarap, for whioh biddings were not nearl} so animated bb at previous siles. There were bnyers for medium draughts of a really good description which could not be supplied. Out of the day's entry of 44, 24 were sold at the following priceß, viz. Medium draughts of • light description, 3 and 4 years old, £13 103, £18 ; 4 and 6 year olds, £9, £10 ; aged, a number ohanged hands at from £4 to £tO, according to description ; unbroken, 2-year-olda, £10 10i to £14 10s ; do, rather light, £8 15s, £9 10s ; 3-year-olds, light, £13. £13 10a; light knmef-8 horses, £6 10s, £7, £8 5j ; haoks, £5 s*, £6 ; inferior at low figures. Country sales. — On Thursday, 7th, I he'd a olearing sale of farm stock and plant at Mr E. Monson's farm, Winoh* more road, and a.l lots offered were cleared at very satisfactory prloei. Horses brought the following prices. — An aged, mare with foal at foot, £16 10a, £16 ; 6-year-old, medium draught, £22 10s ; acred, £15 10s ; others, £6 5j to £13. Sh 0p— 139 hoggets at 2s 6d ; 149 cross, bred ewes, 2i 5d • 40 merino ewei, 2s 6d. Cattle. — Young stook. 22a per head ; 18 months old steers, £3 9s. Cn Friday, the Bth, I also held a clearing sale at the late T. Brankin's farm at Wakanui. There was a good attendance, and for the horses biddings were very spirited, and the following prices were obtained, viz :— Draught maieß, 8 years, of a good stamp, £22 10s, £30 10s ; 7 years old, £13 10g, £23 ; geldings, 7 and 8 years old, £18 10a, £33 j light draught aged mare, £12 103 : yearlings aw) 2 year old, £5 10s, £8 15s, £1115,8.
