IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

London, April 27. At this morning's meeting of the Imperial Conference the subject of telegraphic communication between the different parts of the Empire was discussed. Mr Pender, Chairman of the Eastern Extension Company, and Mr Finch-Hatton were called, and stated their views on the subject, after which the discussion was adjourned. At the afternoon silting the discussion of the Postal Service was resumed. Mr Hen nikef-Heaton submitted his scheme for a universal penny postage. It is expected that an eight years' contract for the carrage of Australian mails will be signed at an early date.
