HORSES RACING. Mr Htrt gave notice to move m the direotlon of bringing horse racing undor taxation. NEW BILIB. Bills were introduced providing foe the temporary appointment of the Speaker of the Council and tbe annexation of the Kermadee Islands. The Council adjourned at 2,50 p.m.
