HOUSEHOLDERS' MEETINGS.

+ . TINWALD. Some 30 persons, of whom about 20 were duly qualified householders, attended at the Sohoolroom, Tinwaid, on Monday evening for the purpose of eleoling a Committee. The proceedings were very quiet, very little interest being evinced by any of the householders present as to what had been done during the year. Mr Jeff, m the absenoe of the Chairman, Mr Jepheon, presided, and read the report of the outgoing Committee. It was particularly brief. Referenoe was made to the ohanges m the staff; to the irregular attendance, the new Committee being advised to put m force the compulsory olause ; and to money which is to be expended as lead. Mr Joseph Clark, being then voted to the ohair, proceeded with the election of a new Committee. Messrs D. T. Todd and S. Clark acted as scrutineers. Th« result was as followß :— J.
