THE WAKANUI LIBEL CASE
The case Gibson v Wilson entered upon its fourth day to-day, and up to the time of writing appears likely to last for the rest of the week. The report of the evidenoe occuplea daily from four to five columns of the * l Timaru Herald," and we do not think our readers would thank us to reproduce it even m a condens 3d form. All the facts about the disputed boundary, tho surveys, the inter* views with the Road Board,- and what not, have been stated m our columns over and over again m the shape of reports and of the correspondence upon whioh the aotion is based, and notwithstanding, the volume of evidence nothing new has been elicited except, perhaps, the statement by one of the witnesses that the plaintiff, Mrs Gibson, has since 1874 been connected with eomo 52 oases m the Conrtß of Law. W'hlchevor way the oaee goes the one thing certain ia that there will be a tremendously long bill of costs for some, body to pay. • •
