HAMPSTEAD.
This meeting was hold last night m the sohoolhouse, and was attended by about 80 residents. The Chairman of Committee took the chair, and read the annual report, and moved its adoption, this was seconded by Mr G. Andrews and carried, after MrPiokford had remarked that though new blood was good m publics bodies, he thought th*t they should again eleot the old Committee, .to great good had been done by them m reglird to school matters and buildings daring the year. This was endorsed by Mr 0. Ward, who also gave the Chairman great praise for the hard work he had personally done for the school. The election of a new Committee ra« ' suited as follows :— Fawoett . . ♦ . • . 30 : Mayo .. ..26 Baker .. .. ..23 Orr .. .. 20 Hunt • ..20 Lamb 10 Andrews .. „ 17 At the committee meeting held afterward* Mr Mayo was unanimously elected Chairman^ this year, and it was resolved to cijU for offers fo? the' position of secretary, tribe m, by next meeting. The a,tten4auc« at tfie sohool is now about 200, aud the roll has 260 names, the buildings are only adapted for' about 140 ohildren, but a oontraofis now entered on for building two more roomY, whioh should relieve the present crowded state of the sohool. ..-..«
