EXPOSING HIS PARTNERS' HAND.
Mr Ormond informed bis conetllaentp at Napier (s*y* the Duneflin •„• Herald") that he would strenuously oppose tha granting to the Government of twelve months' supplies. Now, what does this mean 1 Why, the plain English of it Ib that the member for Napier will do hie utmost to have two sesßions during the year. It means that If Mr Ormond and his friends are permitted to have their own iweet way Parliament will have to bo ■ummoned immediately after the general elections, and the expense of a seoond teuton will be heaped on the shoulders of the debt-ridden people of this oountry. The strangest thing m;, connection with the matter is that the gentleman who has -the "front" to give expression to his Intention of aoting m such an unconstitutional manner poses at the came time as an economical reformer, and raises the cry of retrenchment. The Opposition organs ha»e aoted wisely m preserving a freezing attitude towards Mr Ormond on this oco3Bßlon. He has exposed the tramp oard of their party, and they are naturally annoyed with him.
