AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

' Alfred reports for the week •i follows :— Saturday, 16th April :— There was a good attendance, and business generally fairly brisk, very few lines being passed unsold. Fifteen coves, m profit and to oalve were yarded, cut of which 9 were sold from 80s to £6. Eighty- three pipa were penned, all being sold. Porkers, 17s, 19s, to 27b 6d ; stores, 10a to 20j ; small stores, 7« to 10a ; weanera and slips, 2a 9d to 6s 3d } fowls, la 5d to 2i 7d per pair ; ducks, 2s 7d to 33 per pair ; mutton, Id, l£d, to 2d per lb ; veal, If a per I\> ; carcase pork, l£d to 2£d per lb ; ham!, 2d to 5d per lb ; cheese, 3d to 5d per lb ; apples, Id to If d per lb ; tomatoes, Hd per lb; chicK wheat, 2* to 2j 6d pet bushel ; oatß, Is 43 to la 7d per bnshel ; Derwents, 50» to 60s per ton carrots, 2i to 2a 61 per bag ; onions, f d to 1H per lb. Implements ; D.U. ploughs, R and G, £7 10s ; waggonette, £14 10j. Saddles, harness, furniture and sundries at market values. I also offered for sale several town and suburban properties, and succeeded m disposing of RS. 32425, Ashburton Forks, at £5 5a per aore. The sections near the Woollen Factory though passed In are being enquired for, and will probably be sold, aB the ptloe Bet upon them Is very low. _____
