PECULIAR DEATH
Newa from Sydney, under date 4th felt, states : — Signora Agratl, the wife of the well-ktiown theatrical ajjent, who accompanied Mlaa Genevleve Ward m hoc J3Taw Zealand tour, died yesterday under peou* liar circumstances. According to tht evidence ?iven at the inqae&t, wbloh ooni| menoed to day, deceased who was About thlrtytwo yeara of age, commenced grieving orer buiinesa losses a few dayc ago and drank heavily. She became fob* jtiot to fits, and Dr Kyngdon, who wm called m, administered a large tojeotion of morphia to oooth the pjtient, wao dUd m twelve or fourteen hours. The general state of decaased was asserted to be iaoh as to fully account for death, but the morphia was administered m a mnoh larger quantity than uaual, owing to a rt< presentation of Sfgnor Agratl that a small injection had proved ustletw on former occasions Tae inqaait was adjourned to allow an analysis of tb* coqtents of the deoeaaed's atomach.
